Working and paying their bills is part of long-term recovery. We offer job club services to our clients so that they can obtain a job. We have relationships with various employers in our community who work with our clients. We utilize these relationships and have been successful in getting people employed within two weeks of admittance. This increases their self-esteem and encourages long-term recovery. If a client living in sober living does not have a job, Freedom House requires they come to the clinic a minimum of three times a week, outside of IOP, to get assistance with job search and placement. We help with resumes, internet searches, contacting employers, and setting up interviews, as well as getting to and from interviews. They know that sitting at home and doing nothing is not an option. Working is part of long-term recovery, and we do all we can to help them achieve this status.
